To Begin
Welcome, everyone!
Today, June 1st, is a glorious day.
I love the first of any month… a chance to begin again, with all the hope and wonder of what new adventures lie ahead…
And today in particular, I am quite excited. I have so much good news to share with all of you…Today, we launch this website; we have been waiting for this day for so long! But, no matter. It’s finally here. And I feel like dancing… this site will capture some of my thoughts and your thoughts too; I am so eager to hear from all of you. This site will also be a way for all of you to stay up to date with music news.
And what is more, I am thrilled to announce the pre-release of my new album, In the Light. So many of you have been anticipating this day. And we are ready to share the new album with everyone! If you go to www.cdbaby.com/mariamm2 you can listen to samples from the album and order your copy today.
How I loved recording In the Light… Adam Popowitz, my amazing producer and friend, and I had an incredible time in the studio capturing the beauty and depth of each song… Elliot Polsky, Gordon Grdina, Jesse Zubot and Pepe Danza as well as some very special guests were all part of my talented team of musicians who brought each song to life. Every song holds much meaning for me; each song tells a story. I can’t wait for all of you to hear it…
I am also excited to announce that on Saturday, June 2nd, my first album, Far From Home, will be featured on Radio New Zealand’s Global Sounds. You can listen to this programme by going to http://www.radionz.co.nz/ and look for the Concert option. Keep in mind the time difference! For those of you on the eastern part of North America, the programme will air at 2:00PM.
So, enjoy… enjoy the beginning of this month… enjoy the beauty of this day… enjoy this music that I am so passionate about…
