I am home.
I love Vancouver. I love my family here. The Christmas tree is up – we finished decorating it the other night and my little one is mesmerized by the lights. I love observing her observe life… all the new things she is discovering and the wonder of it all in her eyes…
I am inside sipping tea, listening to Christmas music, while outside, the world in my backyard is covered in snow. It has been snowing for days now which is unusual for Vancouver! We are definitely going to have a white Christmas this year.
I had the chance to sing at my church here where I grew up for the Candlelight Service on Sunday, the day we arrived… I was a bit tired, but I had been asked to sing and I really wanted to be there. So we carefully drove through the snow to church. And I am so glad we did. The service brought back so many great memories… the candles lit, the music, the readings…
It is Christmas Eve and I am looking forward to celebrating a very special Birthday tomorrow with my family.
I love this time of year.
