We were in Atlanta to cheer on my husband who ran his first half marathon… I have been watching him prepare for this adventure and have been so proud… well, I am always proud of my husband… he is quite an amazing person.

Needless to say, we were excited to have a weekend away visiting friends, seeing the city and (for him) running a race. I do love being a spectator at these events… my brother runs marathons and has done triathalons and it was always a thrill to be there, among the crowds, cheering the runners on… it inspires me, albeit for a moment, to join in the race… actually, I might just participate one day… but perhaps start with something even less strenuous than a half marathon…

My husband did well, this being his first race! We actually missed him at the finish line… he was well on his way home, and me and our friend and the three babies with us, well, we were a bit late to catch him, driving to the city, making sure we had everything for the little ones! Loved seeing Olympic Park and at least we got to cheer on many others! My husband didn’t mind a bit… he was just so thrilled to have accomplished this feat…

I think he’ll be wearing his medal to work…
