Early morning
Dawn early
Stillness, peace blankets the city
Engines, sirens, chatter, all movement,  hushed

For now

Birds trilling, chirping, harmonizing
Chorusing together
Looming heavy heat sits on my tongue
Warm breeze brushes my face

Strokes of powder blue sky illuminate the dawn
Gentle light released
At this very hour once reigned darkness

Until

Eden

Light emerges and remains

No need for light of lamp or sun…
Onset of a new Dawn
And night will be no more

Light emerges and remains forever
